This site, which has become a must-see, has occupied more than 22,000 m2 of a former military barracks on the right bank since 2007.

Your guide will introduce you to all these exceptional things during your visit, which you can complete with a visit to the Origines chocolate factory : the first organic and visitable chocolate factory in France! Everything is done on site, from the preparation of the beans to the sale of bars and other by-products. It is also possible to make your own chocolate thanks to the workshops offered by the chocolate factory. A true childhood dream come true!
A bit of history
Saved from demolition by the founder Philippe Barre, the Niel barracks initially housed a huge skatepark, in the desire to attract people to the right bank of the Garonne.
A successful bet, because for more than 10 years, Darwin has become inseparable from the contemporary landscape of the city.
Many activities have subsequently found shelter here: co-working offices, the largest organic restaurant in France, sports activities (roller derby, bike polo, etc.), a micro-brewery, a grocery store, a bakery, a bookstore, beehives, an experimental urban agriculture area with permaculture vegetable gardens, emergency housing…
