From the forecourt of the Cité du Vin to the new quays, via the narrow streets of Bacalan, you will observe the work of artists recognized in the field such as Landroïd, Clet, A-MO, Alber, Delphine Délas and Möka.
This artistic exploration will be interspersed with stories taken straight from the history of this fascinating district, allowing you to (re)discover Bacalan in a fun and original way.
A bit of history
Created mainly during the nineteenth century to relieve congestion in the port of Bordeaux, Bacalan was strictly linked to port activities for many years.
This past is still visible today thanks to the docks, cranes, silos, locks, etc. The district was profoundly transformed during the Second World War, an event that left impregnable traces on the history and development of Bacalan until today. Between old stones, bricks, reinforced concrete and cinder blocks, urban artists have found a perfect canvas for their various expressions.
