The medieval festival “La Gerb’ode”
This is the 20th edition of the medieval festival of the Ger’ode. The theme of these two days of festivity will be “Artillery in the XIVth”, with a guest of honor L’Artilleur du Roy, a specialist in gunpowder line shooting, couleuvrines and other black powder cannons.
On the military camp, you can see craftsmen such as tail masters, blacksmiths, gunsmiths, saddlers, bow makers…
From 11 a.m., the Black Prince’s Camp will open its doors and offer visitors to the workshops, a craftsmen’s market. On Sunday evening, a medieval ball and a fire dancer.
Throughout the weekend, families will be able to attend activities:
- armored knight battles
- Equestrian jousting
- axe throwing
- Archery
- vegetable dye workshops
- of calligraphy
- Shooting with a channel (trebuchet)
For young children:
- pony rides
- Make-up
- A battle contest
